Neck pain and headaches:
Neck pain is a common complaint and can range from a slight stiffness or a “tweak” to debilitating, unrelenting pain. Neck pain can result in massive muscle spasm, potentially leading to nerve compression and referred pain and/or headaches (termed cervicogenic headaches)
Whether the pain is from an injury such as whiplash, or a longer term postural issue or just “sleeping on it funny", a range of manual techniques can be employed to lessen the intensity of the pain and to reduce muscle spasm in the hope of regaining lost mobility. This may include massage, taping, dry needling and posture based exercises.
Conditions treated:
Acute Wry Neck
Muscle Spasms
Nerve compression/Referred and Radicular pain
Cervicogenic Headaches
Postural Issues
Note: If a more complex issue is suspected we will discuss plans for referring you for an x-ray, ultrasound or to see a specialist.
